I'm planing to drive from Melbourne to Darwin, what advice do you guys have for me??

Big trip your planning there.
The drive is quite long and boring and there is limited stops available in most parts of the journey.
The best way to go is definately through Adelaide, then onto the Sturt Highway to Port Augusta.
You need to make sure your well stocked when you leave Port Augusta, get plenty of fuel on board, and make sure you have lots of water, food, and first aid supplies.
From Port Augusta you have a very boring drive of about 250 kilometres until you get to Glendambo where you can refuel and restock, you then have another long stretch to Coober Pedy.
From Coober Pedy it's about 200 kilometres to the next stop at Cadney Roadhouse, and then about 80 kilometres to Marla.
It is essential to have plenty of supplies from Marla onwards.
It gets very hot and the drive is extreemly boring.
It is another 200 kilometre plus journey to your first next stop in the Territory at Kulgera Roadhouse.
From Kulgera you go through Erldunda in about 80 kilometre, then it's a 200 kilometre journey to Alice Springs.
From Alice you have a few available stops to refuel and restock in Ti Tree Roadhouse, Barrow Creek, Wycliffe Well, Wauchope, Tennant Creek and Three Ways.
Its another long boring drive to Renner Springs, about 125 kilometres. From here you have stops every 50 to 100 kilometres right through to Darwin.
In between towns there are places you can stop and rest for a while, though there is no facilities available at them road side stops.
A good idea for a first time traveller through the outback is to stop in at Police stations in towns along the way, let them know where your heading, that way if anything was to happen the Police will be able to work out where you might be.
Also be very weary of road conditions, there is a lot of dirt and gravel roads which can be dangerous to drive on at times.

Of course, as far as Im concerned any road is boring, its getting off the beaten track and seeing the sights that makes a trip worthwhile.

Yes and no, it really depends on her. International business is not just traveling around having a good time, there are many other factors that need to be considered; e.g. international accounting standards, international law, culture and language. If you're dealing with a heterosexual couple, both perspectives have to get together to understand that one.
The best bet, if you're dealing with a relationship that isn't your own, is to stay the hell out of it. They're going to demand a judge, and you're it. You're a better negotiator than I am if you can judge and not have at least one or both of them seriously bent out of shape at you and the anger redirected.

But of course for people who dont have the personal freedom at this stage of their life it may be difficult to just go out and see that person when they please.

Now although it may seem like it, WWE doesn't just accept ANYONE into F.C.W, one of my good friends whom i used to train with has been there for 2 years now, and he's one of the best athletes around yet he still hasnt had his break. The thing is, in terms of WWE's style of booking, it isnt how dedicated you are, it isnt how skilled you are, its how big you are. Thats basically the jist. So my advice to you fella, is if you REALLY do want this, work 5 days a week in the gym make yourself big. Train with a small local promotion and work your way up from there. At least if you gain a reputation for being dedicated and good (ala CM Punk) WWE will surely notice you at some point.

if you want to do ug in mechatronics do be in mechatronics.. it is not necessary that you have to be a merit listed student.. just a pass in diploma is enough for doing bachelors of engineering..

hi all, my best friend is close to full term and her hubby is fully stressed out. I have three kids and myself and my husband has tried to calm him down. All my kids were induced so i was always in a hospital setting.
Any advice from the dad's out there???For the guys....advice when wife is in labour?
She knows her body. Let her decide what is best(with advice from the doctor or midwife)Be her advocate when she can't talk. Water with a straw, always get it for her. Count slow, but not too slow. And whatever she says in labour that's bad about you, she doesn't really mean. Oh yeah, when you cut the cord, keep your mouth closed, blood does squirt out a bit.For the guys....advice when wife is in labour?

He needs to know that the best thing he can do for her is just to be there. She will be able to make requests of him during labor (like back rubs, foot massage, getting her things or even just holding her hand).
My hubby is going through this too. We are having a home birth (first baby) and I am 6 days overdue, so he is getting really stressed. We have talked about it together and with the midwives and he admits that the root of his problem is that he feels helpless. He is afraid because he feels his role is undefined and he doesn't know exactly what to expect. He feels like he has no control (and he doesn't, lol). I am reassuring him that he just needs to be there and be supportive, that's it. He also admits that he is afraid of my pain and afraid that he won't be able to handle seeing the ';blood and guts'; involved. I assured him that he doesn't even need to be down there, but can sit by my head and not have to look. (though I think he will be missing out :) He is more fearful and apprehensive than I am and I am the one who will ultimately be doing the work!
I would recommend that your friends husband talk to his pregnant wife and the caregiver about what he is feeling. He will be fine and do what he needs to do, that is all he CAN do.
I think most of the time for men this is an issue of control and the fear of losing it. He needs to surrender to the process and just accept whatever comes. He really is incapable of doing anything else anyway.
Our poor men are so fragile, aren't they! :) Bless them.

hi all, my best friend is close to full term and her hubby is fully stressed out. I have three kids and myself and my husband has tried to calm him down. All my kids were induced so i was always in a hospital setting.

She knows her body. Let her decide what is best(with advice from the doctor or midwife)Be her advocate when she can't talk. Water with a straw, always get it for her. Count slow, but not too slow. He is afraid because he feels his role is undefined and he doesn't know exactly what to expect. He feels like he has no control (and he doesn't, lol). I am reassuring him that he just needs to be there and be supportive, that's it. He also admits that he is afraid of my pain and afraid that he won't be able to handle seeing the ';blood and guts'; involved. I assured him that he doesn't even need to be down there, but can sit by my head and not have to look. (though I think he will be missing out :) He is more fearful and apprehensive than I am and I am the one who will ultimately be doing the work!
I would recommend that your friends husband talk to his pregnant wife and the caregiver about what he is feeling. He will be fine and do what he needs to do, that is all he CAN do.
I think most of the time for men this is an issue of control and the fear of losing it. He needs to surrender to the process and just accept whatever comes. He really is incapable of doing anything else anyway.

take some old jeans, splash a little bleach on them and sew on sequins here and there, then buy a tight , white belly shirt and iron on some words such as angel or daddy's girl and then buy a nice new black purse and iron on the first anitial of your name in WHITE no other color, you can do the same thing to other outfits except you could change the jeans into a skirt or ange the color of the t-shirt. Don't listen to what you read on the internet or in most books. These people are usually not doctor and although may have good intentions don't really know what they are talking about! She said more women make themselves crazy over reading let your body do it's job we are made to make children healthy babies survive. well the eBay protection program is real, but didn't you say that you found it on Craig's list. anyways just make sure that is where your money is really going. check and make sure the email that you receive is authentic not just one that he copied or created himself. in my experience working with eBay i have always been satisfied and have never had a problem getting in touch with them. once i had a seller take like three months to send my purchase to me and i contacted eBay via their customer service link and they responded to me quickly and contacted the seller. i received my purchase a few days later.

Freshmen hardly get any respect because it's their first year away from home and they want to party party party. I met this really cute guy today at a camp that i volunteer for, he is a counselor as well. I really want to make a good impression on him because he is super cute and he has serious possibilities! I'm new to the investor world. I just need some do's and don'ts on 'flip house' investing.Any advice you guys can give me on ';flipping'; a house for the first time?
Know your numbers going in...in other words don't expect your profit to come from appreciation only. You have to buy right (yes, that means ';low';) in order to sell at a profit later.
We have rehabbed foreclosed junkers for fun and profit. We ALWAYS took photos of the inside/outside before one piece of trash was moved or one nail was hammered. That allowed us to sell with no problems as the buyers Lender would look at the length of time we owned the property and the amount we paid (versus what it was appraising for after rehab...). The Lenders always approved when they saw the before/after pix.
Go to the local Real Estate Investor meetings and network to find who the right rehab contractors are to work with. Always have a written contract with the rehab contractor(s) and do not advance money unless the contract is fulfilled.
Be aware that any rehab will take longer than the longest projections that you receive so have enough cash/credit in reserve to last until sold or rented.

Plan on the rehab taking twice as long as planned, costing 50% more than you planned and taking twice as long to sell the place once you have finished.

Ingredients
12 oz plain flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. mixed spice
陆 tsp. salt
4 oz candied peel
4 oz cherries
2 lb. Dried fruit
4 oz blanched almonds
4 eggs
4 tbsp. sherry
Finely grated 1 lemon
8 oz margarine
8 oz sugar
1 tbsp. black treacle
飩?Sieve together all the dry ingredients.
飩?Mix the peel, fruit, cherries, chopped almonds and lemon rind.
飩?Whisk the eggs and sherry together.
飩?Cream the margarine, sugar and black treacle until soft.
飩?Add the flour and egg mixtures alternately to the margarine.
飩?Stir in the fruit mixture.
飩?Put into an 8-9 inch tin, lined with greaseproof paper round the sides and at the bottom. Tie a double band of brown paper round the outside of the rim, standing well up above the top of it.
飩?Put in the middle of a hot oven. Bake for three and a quarter to three and a half hours at gas mark 3 for the first one and a half hours, and then decrease to gas mark 2 for the remainder.

Use a metal pan about 10'; wide x 5'; or six inch high, one with a loose bottom is best. Line sides and bottom of pan with wax paper allowing the paper to extend up over the sides by an inch.
Put in round pan and bake at 325f for 1 hour and turn down to 300f and continue cooking for at least 2 hours and then check for doneness by inserting thin instrument until it comes out clean.
Store the cakes upside-down (you put the icing on the bottom and sides) and leave for about 2 weeks in an airtight tin. Poke holes a few inches down into bottom of cake and pour over sherry or brandy. Repeat this procedure two or three times over a two day period. Keep stored in airtight tin. Roll out the marzipan and stick to sides and bottom of cake with melted apricot jam. Leave a few days to dry and ice with the royal icing.

English christmas cakes traditionally involve a complicated two-tiered icing procedure - first a layer of soft marzipan icing followed by a cement layer of white sugar icing, known as royal icing. The women in my family dispensed with this tedious process a couple of generations ago, substituting with one quick and delicious layer of butter icing. This only takes ten minutes to whip up and protects the cake, keeping it moist and fresh right through the Christmas season and well into January.
Butter icing
175 g butter
2 tsp vanilla essence
500 g icing sugar
3 tbsp rum or brandy
Beat butter and sifted icing sugar together until creamy. Add vanilla and rum (or brandy). Cover cake with icing then with a wet fork make soft peaks across the surface of the icing.

We bake a stollen - it is lighter and far more fun, and better cooked on Christmas eve rather than a month in advance. I could be persuaded to put the recipe on my blog if enough ppl interested.

8 ounces (2 sticks) butter
1/2 cup brewed espresso or other strong coffee
1/2 cup orange juice
1/4 cup plus 1 tablespoon baking cocoa
1/2 cup mascarpone cheese, at room temperature
2 eggs, slightly beaten
2 teaspoons almond extract
Preheat the oven to 350潞F. Grease an 8-x-2-inch round pan and set aside. In the bowl of an electric mixer, sift together the flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
In a saucepan, melt the butter. Remove the pan from the heat and add the coffee, orange juice, and cocoa, stirring well to combine. Pour the butter mixture over the flour mixture. Add the cheese, eggs, and almond extract, and beat the ingredients until the batter is smooth.
Pour the batter into the pan and bake it for 35 to 45 minutes, or until a cake tester inserted into the middle comes out clean.
Let the cake cool in the pan, then carefully unmold it onto a serving plate. Serve the cake as is, or sprinkled with confectioner's sugar.
