My mother always told me to find a nice girl, someone that would love me for who i am, and to become best friends with my lover. She was right.

I have no idea what to tell you. Personally my boyfriend doesn't have a thing to do with his mother but I know that most guys might not ask their mothers much. Probably just the generic things like the girl needs to be kind, generous, considerate, etc.
pick someone who will respect you,someone with the same goals and beliefs.someone who makes you happy just to be with them and someone who loves the Lord.someone who brings out all your best qualities.
well i don't really talk to my mom, so all of my experience has to be learned on my own. :/
