How should I wear my hair for the big day? (girls AND guys advice please!)?

I am going to a new school this year for freshman year, and i want to make a good first impression, so i definitely want my hair to look great. it is dark brown, shoulder length, and naturally wavy. I have side bangs.

What i like to do is...look online and pay atention to celebrities hairstyles and do's. I like to sorta mitate there look for the style, then add some kind of flare to it to make it an original. Thats just me if you need ideas, you should go to seventeen.com. They have some great ideas.
